Saturn Devouring His Son

Free verse poem

The Darkness Of Hell
Interrupted By Two

Bodies. One Dragged.

The Other,
Permanent,

A Resident
By His Own
Choices.
Grey Hair
Frizzed And Rough.
All Over The Place
Like His Mind.
Eyes Crazed.
Too Many Memories.

Children

No Longer There.

With Him But

Lonely.
Mouth Wide.
An Entrance
To An Eternal Prison.
Burning
Hot With The Finality
Of Consumption. Populated With
The Unlucky.

Those Inside

 Hear
The Familiar

Crunch Of The Newly Damned.
Hands Who Have Known Nothing Else

Wring Out Copper Drops.
They Are Bathed
In Fresh Blood
They Have Come To Love.
